RejeX can be used over existing wax, however, the duration of protection will be reduced as the softer underlying wax degrades comparatively quickly. It is especially notable on dark colors and metallic paints where RejeX brings out the accurate color and detail in the paint. RejeX has a higher refractive index than any wax, so it produces richer, deeper looking colors and a lustrous long-lasting finish. RejeX can be applied in multiple coats – allowing at least 4 hours curing time between coats – for greater depth of gloss. RejeX is not meant to be used on porous surfaces or highly oxidized painted surfaces. Rejex protects and beautifies smooth painted surfaces, glass, acrylic, gelcoat/fiberglass, glossy plastic & polished metal, stone and synthetic surfaces. before it has cured, the contaminants may interfere with the structural integrity of the film, affecting its visual characteristics and release properties. If the coating is exposed to contamination such as oil, fuel, soot, water, cleaners, etc. When applied, the RejeX monomers (polymer building blocks) attach to the surface being treated and polymerize (cross-link) into a crystal-clear, flexible, chemically resistant film. It is very important to allow RejeX to cure for 8-12 hours after the haze has been wiped off. RejeX should be wiped on, allowed to dry for 10-20 minutes until it forms a haze, wiped off, then allowed to cure for 8-12 hours (depending on the humidity). The higher the humidity, the faster RejeX cures. For larger vehicles such as RVs, busses and yachts, a good trick for dealing with hot days is to apply RejeX to the top and western facing side in the morning and the eastern facing side in the afternoon, so that you're always working on the shady side. If the surface is too hot, the coating will dry before it has properly bonded to the surface, and it won’t last to its full potential. If the surface becomes hot to the touch, cool by rinsing liberally with wate, dry, then apply RejeX. When ambient temperatures are above 85° F, RejeX should be applied out of direct sunlight. RejeX contains none of the free silicone oils found in some other polymer products that are known to contaminate paint and cause issues when repainting.
